Great Birthday

So Yeah I turned 40. I had a great weekend.
I had dinner Friday at Geno's East, They have amazing pizza. I had more laughs than I've had in a long time. Many thanks to my WOW friends *wink*. Brian thank you for insisting that I go!!!!!!
I got to play some late night Rockband 3 with Kel, Thanks Kel we need to jam out more often!

Saturday morning the gang took me to Granite City Brewery where we had Brunch. I had my first ever wine at 9 am LOL!
They surprised me with a cool "Black" Theme:P We ended up with matching sweat shirts That says Welcome to the dark side LOL! I'll add a pic later....(It's in the wash!)
They gave me this necklace with all kinds of naughty things glued onto it. Things like a G-string, Squeaky boobies, a penis straw, condoms, lotions, & Handcuffs!!! They made me wear this. Crazies!

They took me to drive indoor go-karts next.......OMG I had so much fun. I highly recommend the Nascar simulators!!!!!!!!

Last night all of the excitement must have caught up to me because i was feeling a bit under the weather:( so like a good 40 year old I went to bed early.

I love my life, my family, & my friends. You are all too good to me!!

Tried Fishing

We tried fishing all weekeend. This was the annual "Fishing Contest" weekend. The fish really were not cooperating.
We saw this one guy in a fancy bass boat pull in huge bass after bass. I was jealous. We decided it was because he had a bass boat. If we had a bass baot we could have caught big fish too.

Paris made me stay up & play Call of Duty World at War. I'll let you in on a lil secret.....I'm not very good at shooter games! He may have been getting frustrated with my ineptitude *Shrug*
It was a great weekend. Now I'm so looking foward to it being our vacation!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait!

Wore Out

We had a very busy but fun weekend with Robert's family. Ma & Pa brought Paris & Mary Kay to see us.
We did a ton of swimming! Lots of video games!!!
Thanks to P I now have Left 4 Dead to play:)
We went to the 1st annual Riverfest in town. We got to see birds of prey. The educational people from the Kalamazoo Nature Center were there with 4 different birds. They had two hawks & two owls. It was very interesting.
Then we drove up to Kazoo to Airway lanes where we drove go-karts & played laser tag.
I'd never played laser tag before it was very fun!!! It was a work out though & I was out of breath by the time the game was over.

Mary Kay even played some Guitar Hero with us. Yes Paris made her sing No Sleep Till Brooklyn by the Beastie Boys. She did great, but I couldn't help laughing!

I love spoiling Paris:)!!!!!! I can't wait till next year!

Family Game Night

We played Family game Night on XBOX with Ma & Pa this weekend.
Pa is the luckiest dice roller ever! Saturday night he wanted to play "Just one more game."
He got the highest Yahtzee score I have ever seen. (588) Or some dumb thing. He had Three Yahtzees!!!
I did manage to win one game. I only got one achievement unlocked where Pa as Soakitincider2 & Ma as guest unlocked a few more achievements.
I need to make their own XBOX profiles!!!

Family Reunion

We attended the decedants of Walter & Emma Osmar reunion dinner last night.
I can not tell you how many years that this reunion has been going on. I do know I attended a few as a kid, so forever may be the answer!
They camp & the camp ground of choice (The one they've attended the longest) is Twin Mills.
RJ & I have camped a few times. We arrived last night just as a hot dog eating contest began.
I think it was George who offered aunt Michelle $20.00 if she won.She ended up getting five of twelve dogs down! Great Effort! Micheal won, he's a big boy! (Heather's son I believe.)
After dinner they have games, family picture, & to top it all off for tons of fun a water balloon fight.
I made sure that I was observing this activity from a distance, but as my god given talent would have it, I was spotted as a target. I think Nick told his son to get me. He did, two balloons, direct hit! *sigh*
It was nice seeing everyone. Thanks for the Jello shots Heather!!!!!

Weekend With P

We had a blast this weekend entertaining Paris, Robert's nephew. He was visiting from Kansas.
We did Putt Putt where RJ kicked everyone's butt & dad lost his tooth...we went back & I found it. The thing looked like a thumb tack.
We did some fishing which I think P really enjoyed.
We went to Camp Bellowood, which brought back memories for me. I spent a couple summers spending money there as teenager. They place has not been kept up, the arcade was nothing like when I was a kid.
We came for the go-karts. It was a bummer when we found Paris to be 4 inches to short to drive the big cars.
I talked the people into letting me ride the baby cars with P. (It's no fun if you don't have someone to race!)
I ended up stalling one car, then they put me in another & the throttle stuck...there are no brakes on the baby cars. I was very afraid that I was going to have to crash to get the car to stop, luckily it became unstuck. I think P won the race.
In the big cars I had the fastest car & was about to lap Pa when they ended our ride.
The bumper boats were so fun. They spun so fast they made you sick. Paris ended up soaked!
We tried to get some swimming in.....it was kinda cloudy & cold though. He loved kayaking.
I love playing video games with P even though he beat me at everything.
He's a good kid & I hope he comes back soon!

Bella Sue had it rough, she was scared of Paris (Of any little kids) She kept barking at him & running from him.

Another Rock Band Night!

We went out to eat with the Family last night for Grandpa's birthday. It was nice to see everyone. A few pictures.

Sissy & Chris came over for some Rock Band and drinks after.
Brian joined us and we Rocked out. I got a tad Krunk, I'm still off balance this morning!

Christmas 2008

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!
Hubby & I took the girls up to Saginaw to Hubby's parents house.
The drive up was treacherous. We witnessed several cars in the ditch & upside down to boot. We almost joined the ditch doomed. We slid in & out of both lanes out of control. We were lucky there were no vehicles beside us. Hubby came out of the slide without us going in the ditch or flipping, but we were very shaken after that. We slowed it way down & added 2 hours to our trip.
We took Bella & Zoie to Pets Smart. That was fun! The girls were so good!!!!!! They did not have any accidents at all. I'm so proud of them.
We had a wonderful time with family.
We arrived home today to ICE & lots of it. Our driveway is such a mess, if it does not melt in the warm up we are getting (It is going to be 60 degrees!) we will never be able to get out of our garage. The metal roof dumped 50 pounds of snow & ice on the area that the dogs go outside. I'm very glad that they weren't home when that happened. Stuff has still been falling off the roof. I'll try to get some pictures tomorrow of the broken bushes.
It is awesome being back home!!!!!

The Trees Are prettifull

The weather has been so incredible this weekend. Our little romp along the lake shore has had some pleasant surprises.
Friday night I had Lamb Chops for dinner. How often do you see Lamb on the menu?

Today we have seen the brightest and best leaf colors. We have visited many beaches. We even have slight sun crunchy skin.

Late today we came across a Dune Buggy Ride. We did it! It has been the highlight of our trip. It was fast, fun, & a learning experience.





They had some pictures on the wall of the movie set from "The Road To Perdition".
Saugatuck, MI was one of the shooting locations for this movie.
We saw turkey & we saw deer.
Tonight closed with the most beautiful sunset.
