I Thought Recorded Meant Video.

At the Hootie concert they told us that the show was being recorded & we would be able to download it. I thought they meant videoJester 2 It is only audio. I went to Hootie.com
& spent $14.99 to download the show my sister & I were at. That is very pricey
Annoyed 2
Then it comes in one large MP3....you can't skip through the songs because there are no breaks. The worst thing is that I can't burn a copy. I wanted to make one for my Sissy.
Bad points aside, the audio quality is very good. I thought the recording was better than being there. (Sat right in front of the speakers:) I could hear the lyrics better.
So you know what that means?.........More cool songs to post.
He did a song I wanted to post. I can't find the lyrics. It was called "Ride Along" & from what I can gather it is a newer song.
Here's a video of his yummy moves.

& The lyrics to
"Get Out Of My Mind"

Last night had a crazy dream
You were everywhere it seemed
You were filling up my soul
Doin' everything to make me whole
Read about you in the Sunday paper
Saw your face on the evening news
When I woke everything was gone
And I remembered we were through
Don't come 'round here no more

[CHORUS:]
Hey get out of my mind
Then you tell me we got things to say
You come around here looking so fine
Makes it so hard to walk away
Oh, get out of my head
Because that look there could leave me dead
Then you tell me that you love me

Remember you were the one to leave
I came back home and I couldn't believe
I know I would have given anything
You took it all and you made me think
Why would she leave me for another man
What does he have, Lord, that I don't have
I see you stayin' in his fancy home
I put on Lauren and I drink alone and say
Don't come 'round here no more

[chorus]

I'll be there for you
I remember when I said that I would
Always love you, too
I lied
Don't come around no more

Kayaks.

As some of you know, I tried to roll my kayak last year. I failed miserably. I panicked. I think I came as close to drowning as I ever ever want to get.
The experience left me a bit panicky in certain situations.

Today some people from Flui
d Fun Kayak & Canoe sales came to our lake today to show off some boats & give tips.
It took me a while to work up the nerve. I
DID have them flip me. I had nose plugs this time which helped immensely.
I think I've beat the panic part of it. I have some
techniques to practice.
I even had the skillz to paddle Brian's skinny racing kayak. That takes mad balance grasshopper!
The racing boats do not sit balanced in the water on their own. They are crazy fun!

Lenny Kravitz is Hot!

I'll Be Waiting Lyrics
He broke your heart
He took your soul
You're hurt inside
'Cause there's a hole
You need some time
to be alone
then you will find
what you've always known

I'm the one who really loves ya, baby
I've been knockin' at your door

and as long as I'm livin'
I'll be waitin'
as long as I'm breathin'
I'll be there
whenever you call me
I'll be waitin'
whenever you need me
I'll be there

I've seen ya cry
into the night
I feel your pain
can I make it right?

I realize
there's no end in sight
yet still I wait
for you to see the light

I'm the one who really loves ya, baby
I can't take it anymore
and as long as I'm livin'
I'll be waitin'
as long as I'm breathin'
I'll be there
whenever you call me
I'll be waitin'
whenever you need me
I'll be there

You are the only one I've ever known
that makes me feel this way, couldn't on my own
I wanna be with you until we're old
you've got the love you need right in front of you, please
come home

as long as I'm livin'
I'll be waitin'
as long as I'm breathin'
I'll be there
whenever you call me
I'll be waitin'
whenever you need me
I'll be there

Hootie & The Blowfish Concert.

My Sissy & I had a bonding night....We went to see Hootie & The Blowfish.

Hootie does this cool thing on the "Home Grown Tour" they fill a bus with school supplies. Hootie gets all the fans to donate something. (I forgot my items to giveRant 2)

I was not expecting an opening act. There was one! A band called Drew Davis Band. They are country but it was some good stuff. They remind me of Rascal Flatts. Every guy in this band was sexy hot! (we bought their cd & got autographs:)

The crowd was enormous. I spied many people I knew. This fair has FREE grandstand seating. It took us an hour in traffic just to park. (We got a late start.)
Hootie came on & they rocked....well they mellowly rocked LOL! Darius Rucker is very sexy when he dances. He has this...I don't know what you call it but it is yummy.
Everytime I thought they could not have anymore songs I knew they broke out in another song that I recognized.
They did a Zepplin cover, "Hey Hey what can I Do?"
They did an REM song. Darius did his country song. I liked it but I gotta say, it sounded like Hootie, not like country.

On Hootie.com you can download a recording of the actual concert you were at. (Neat idea!, But I thought it was video:()

I left out in a cloud of taillights and dust Swore

I wasn't coming back said I'd had enough
Saw you

in the rear view standing
Fading from my life But I

wasn't turning around
No not this time But..

Chorus
Don't think I don't think about it
Don't think I don't

have regrets
Don't think it don't get to me Between

the work, and the hurt and the whiskey
Don't think

I don't worry about
Coulda been shoulda been all

worked out
I know what I felt I know what i said

But don't think I don't think about it We make

choices we gotta live with them
Heard you found a

real good man and you married him
I wonder if

sometimes
I cross your mind Where would we be

today
If I never drove that car away

What'cha Know About

Today's Song Of The Day!

Donavon Frankenreiter - What'cha Know About

just say what's on your mind

what'cha know about love

you said our love would be

you said you were my girlfriend

some girl you turned out to be

i guess you know about leaving

loving and leaving me

you left me for no reason

but you led me to believe

sometimes your life can crumble

sometimes your soul might make a stumble

but you can't drown in your sorrow

cause you might be found

you might be found tomorrow

what'cha know about living

when you've been treated like a queen

but a queen don't know about giving

i ain't looking to receive

sometimes your life can crumble

sometimes your soul might make a stumble

but you can't drown in your sorrow

cause you might be found

you might be found tomorrow

sometimes your life can crumble

sometimes your soul might make a stumble

but you can't drown in your sorrow

cause you might be found

you might be found tomorrow

i said, you might be found

you might be found tomorrow

well, you might be found

you might be found tomorrow (x3)

First Annual Ladies Only....

Lake Day!
This morning looked as if it would rain, but it turned into an awesome day. We could have had more sun. We had plenty of food & munched the whole time.
The four of us crazies swam & made lots of laughter!
One of my crazy friends tried my kayak & I wished I'd had the camera on.....she flipped the boat (She scared the crap outta me!). After the initail scare it was rather funny:)
Hubby was our chef, he cooked our wienies. He blew up our floaties also. (Sweetie.)
I would post some pictures...but I've been told not too LOL!
Thanks for a great time ladies. I love you guys!

Concert At The County Fair.

We went to the County fair to see Pat Benatar. They say that our fair is one of the largest in the nation. That is saying something for as small as our communities are.
This year they had a tiger show. I love tigers but I hurt in my heart watching them pace a cage.
We got a great view of the balloon lift off this year.

The concert was one of the best that I've been to at the fair. Outside venues usually leave a something to be desired in the sound quality. Pat Benatar & her hubby Neil Geraldo were awesome.
I was surprise by how little Pat is. I was amazed at the Riff shredding capabilities of Neil.
Neil made a comment just before they started "Hit Me with your Best Shot" that this is what beyond expert looks like on Guitar Hero, LOL!

(I was not able to get Video as this concert it was forbidden, But I got some audio....Mostly of me singing LOL)

Neil & Pat did a duet called Every time I Fall Back. It was very SWEET!

I don't know if it's me or just the sign of the times

But I want a better life than the one I've been livin'

Ain't no one says that you can't change who you are

Ain't no law says you gotta take what you're givin'

I wanna find a place where the nights are warm

And the wind don't blow so cold against my skin

I wanna find some shelter in someone's arms

When I go too far I know that

Every time I fall back

You grab my shoulder to keep me from fallin'

Every time I fall back

Your arms are open , I hear you calling me

I believe that people are the same wherever you go

Everybody's seen their reflection

The face we wear is not our face at all

No - we've lost all direction

Don't wanna dance the dance of the fool no more

Don't wanna give away my soul for nothin'

Don't wanna sell myself door to door

I just wanna know that..

Every time I fall back

You grab my shoulder to keep me from fallin'

Every time I fall back

Your arms are open , I hear you calling me

Ohhh...
Ohhh...
Ohhh...

I don't know if it's me or just the sign of the times

I just wanna know that..

Every time I fall back

You grab my shoulder to keep me from fallin'

Every time I fall back

Your arms are open , I hear you calling me

I hear you calling me..

I hear you calling me..

Ohh......

Super Powers

If you could choose from "Super Powers", which power would you pick?

Let's have multiple choice.
  1. Invisibility
  2. Flying
  3. Strength
  4. X-ray visionRoll Eyes 4
I would choose invisibility. (perverted?),I'm not sure how I would use it for the good of the people, though. (Maybe you I could infiltrate a bunch of bad people & then call the cops with some evidence?) Harry Potter uses his cloak with some respect! It would be hard not to abuse the power of invisibility.
Even a Saint would be tempted to sneak in somewhere they should not be, I bet.
I can see free airplane rides.

Actually, I think I've had practice at this ability. I know many people from school do not remember me or they really really have to work hard to recall LOL!
It is not a bad thing, it means I stayed out of trouble. No not really it just means that I never got caught Bawhahahahahahaha!

Invisibility is "The Sneaky Power"
I have to say though; hearing what others say about you when they think you are not there........You don't really want that ability!

What Do Your Tattoo's Bring To Mind? (Song)

Jordin Sparks- Tattoo

No matter what you say about love
I keep coming back for more
Keep my head in the fire, sooner or later, I get what I’m asking for

No matter what you say about life
I learn every time I bleed
The truth is a stranger
Soul is in danger
I gotta let my spirit be free
To admit that I’m wrong
And then change my mind
Sorry but I have to move on and leave you behind

I can’t waste time so give it a moment
I realize nothing’s broken
No need to worry about everything I’ve done.
Live every second like it was my last one.
Don’t look back got a new direction.
I loved you once needed protection.
You’re still a part of everything I do.
You’re on my heart just like a tattoo. Just like a tattoo, I’ll always have you. (I’ll always have you.)

Sick of playing all of these games
It’s not about taking times
When I looked in the mirror, didn’t deliver
It hurt enough to think I could stop
Admit that I’m wrong and then change my mind
Sorry but I’ve gotta be strong and leave you behind

I can’t waste time so give it a moment
I realized nothing is broken

No need to worry about everything I’ve done
Live every second like it was my last one
Don’t look back at a new direction
I loved you once needed protection
You’re still a part of everything I do
You’re on my heart just like a tattoo, just like a tattoo
I’ll always have you (I’ll always have you).

If I live every moment,
It won’t change any moment,
It’s still a part of me and you
I will never regret you
Still the memory of you
Marks everything I do.

Quote From Today's Book.

I have to thank my great, sweet, funny, happy, friend Karla for letting me borrow this book!

Mocha With Max by Max Lucado

Page 81.

"Worry Changes Nothing.
Regarding the things about which we fret:
  • 40% never happen
  • 30% regard unchangeable deeds of the PAST
  • 12% focus on the opinions of others that CANNOT be controlled
  • 10% center on personal health, which only worsens as we worry about it
  • 8% concern real problems that we can influence
No matter if you call him/her God or the Tao or the Energy, or the many many names of the nameless.... "Let go & Let God."

Perfect Song For This Time IN July.

Wishing I Was There

Wishing I Was There
~ Natalie Imbruglia
Take your hand and place it in my pocket
Flick your eyes back in their socket
Put those thoughts away
Sometimes I'm much too loud
I'll take a breath and cradle your sweet head
To the state at home in bed
Put that face away I'm melting for you

I know, I get cold
'Cause I can't leave things well alone
Understand I'm accident prone
Me, I get free
Every night the moon is mine

CHORUS
But when the morning comes,
Don't say you love me
Don't say you need me
I really don't think that's fair
Boy I'm not so dumb
But when you leave me
I'll be wishing I wishing I wishing I was there

I dreamt about another girl in bed with you
You laughed and smiled denied the proof
We're fine until I think of the problem
I wish you made sense,
Like a joke that no one gets
It's a life without regret
I wanted to feel that way forever and ever
I know, I get cold
'Cause I can't leave things well alone
Understand I'm accident prone
Me, I get free
Every night the moon is mine

CHORUS

Wishing I, wishing I, wishing I was there
Wishing I, wishing I, wishing I was still with you
(Repeat twice)

Now, don't say you love me
Don't say you need me
I really don't think that's fair
Oh, I'm not so dumb
But when you leave me
I'll be wishing I wishing I wishing I was still with you

Wishing I, wishing I, wishing I was there
Wishing I, wishing I, wishing I was still with you
(Repeat twice)

Wishing I was still with you

Fast Read.

In Odd We Trust by Dean Koontz.
This was very different for me. This was basically a comic book. Alright the technical term is a "Graphic Novel".
Whatever you want to call it.....it was my first read of such a book. It was fast & sweet.
Mr. Koontz puts some nice little tid bits at the end to help with the mystery that is Odd.

My Take On Gutar Hero Aerosmith.

I have found this Guitar Hero a bit lame. I don't think enough of the well known & loved songs were included.
I think the play is a smidgen easier. Although the Hammer-on's & Pull-off's are prolific in this game. (They give me trouble.)
Is this the wave of the future? The way to get your music sold?
I've been thinking also....Is there anyway to get the music from these games (The mp3s) to my pc? I am peved knowing that I paid for & downloaded a song I like from Rock Band. I will have to PAY for it again if I just want the song
Download Devil

I rate Guitar Hero Aerosmith 4 out of 10.

Although I woke up waaaaayyy to ruff around the edges this morning......We had an awesome get together for the fourth.

We had Hot Dogs (What else do you eat on the 4th?), Pasta Salad, & Corn on the Cob. We had cake for dessert! I LOVE cake!
I got to teach Dayton how to fish. He caught his very first fish, It was so exciting. That was a blast for me. He loved it! (I hope to get the pictures of this up at a later date.)

Happy Holiday!

I'm thankful & I feel blessed to have been born & raised in the USA. For all the bitching & moaning people do about our country we are just so lucky...as most of us have never experienced the atrocities that happen elsewhere. I enjoy being a spoiled American!
God be with our troops everywhere that they are. God watch over you & keep you safe! Our troops represent us so much more truthfully than our politicians & media.
Keep up the good work.

Bad luck day?

I checked the mailbox this morning to mail something & noticed that both doors were open on it & splintered wood lay all around it. I told Hubby to investigate. I thought maybe lighting hit it last night.
It turns out that someone completely trashed our mailbox. (Nope I did not get a picture
Crying 10.) It cost $60.00 for a new box.

Whilst Hubby was putting up the new mailbox he set his Dewalt drill on the ground. He walked the couple 100 yards to our garage to get some screws......in that 10 minutes the drill disappeared.
So now we are not only out the money for the mailbox but the money to replace the drill as well. That drill was not cheap!!!!! I asked Hubby if he learned anything from this? LOL! Don't leave your tools! Even for a second!
