I'm All For Artistic License

I was playing Guitar Hero World Tour the other day. (Go figure!) I was doing the vocal tour. I found myself singing this song Assassin by Muse.
(These are the lyrics.....but they leave out a creepy section where you are singing.....Kill your leaders!) (I found a YouTube video of the actual GHWT song bar.)

War is overdue
The time has come for you
To shoot your leaders down
Join forces underground

[Chorus:]
Lose control
Increasing pace
Warped and bewitched
Time to erase

Whatever they say
These people are torn
Wild and bereft
Assassin is born

Oppose and disagree
Destroy demonocracy

[Chorus]

Whatever they say
These people are torn
Wild and bereft
Assassin is born

Do you want your child singing these lyrics?
The song in itself is fine with me. I have a choice whether I wish to buy it or not.
But in a game that I have no choice, either play the song to move on or don't play the game. In a game that I know young kids play.
It just gave me the creeps!

Now I do so love the F-bomb in songs. Give me some sexually explicit lyrics any day. Such as Crazy Bitch & Tear You Apart.
I think Prince's Darling Nikki was my first of such loves.
Different strokes as they say!

Freakin Awesome

I did get Guitar Hero Wolrd Tour for my birthday! My drums were broke right out of the box. I sent them back last week.
Last night my guitar started acting up....I think it is the strum bar but I can't say for sure as I was testing it this morning it started to work just fine
There are many reports of instruments not working.....................Aside from the hardware the software is awesome!
The graphics rock on this game at every encore they have the avatar of the rocker who sang that song.(If you look you can even see a coon tail hanging off the back of Ted's jeans. LOL) The guitar duels against the "Bosses" are different but not unpleasant.
There are new elements added with the slider on the guitar & the cymbals on the drums. They even have an open note for the bass player which shows up as a bar across the fret.
You can make your own music & download & play music others have made. Character creation is intense.

The main reason I bought this game is this................

Stranglehold

I've always said they need this song on one of these games. I'm disappointed though because Ted was not the original lead on this.I like Derek St. Holmes singing this. He puts the emotion into the song.
"Stranglehold" is a single and the first track from Ted Nugent's self-titled 1975 album. The vocals are performed not by Nugent, but by Derek St. Holmes.

Nugent didn't sing lead on this. Derek St. Holmes, vocalist with his band, did. Nugent resented the attention Holmes received on stage and eventually sang all the hits himself.

Nugent claims the misogynist, violent lyrics were part of his act and should not be taken literally. This did not make women's groups feel any better.

HERE I COME AGAIN NOW BABY
LIKE A DOG IN HEAT
TELL IT'S ME BY THE WAY NOW BABY
I LIKE TO TAP THE STREETS

NOW I'VE BEEN SMOKING FOR SO LONG
YOU KNOW I'M HERE TO STAY
GOT YOU IN A STRANGLEHOLD BABY
YOU BEST GET OUT OF THE WAY

GONNA CRUISE IS A BITCH NOW BABY
YOU KNOW YOU CAN'T DO ME 'ROUND
IF YOUR HOUSE GETS IN MY WAY BABY
YOU KNOW I'LL BURN IT DOWN

YOU REMEMBER THE NIGHT THAT YOU LEFT ME
YOU PUT ME IN MY PLACE
GOT YOU IN A STRANGLEHOLD NOW BABY
YOU BETTER CROSS YOUR WAY

solo

SOMETIMES YOU WANNA GET HIGHER
SOMETIMES YOU GOTTA START LOW
SOME PEOPLE THINK THEY GONNA DIE SOMEDAY
I GOT NEWS YOU NEVER GOT TO GO OLD

COME ON COME ON UP; 4 times
COME ON COME ON BABY
COME ON COME ON UP
COME ON COME ON BABY
COME ON COME ON

GONNA CRUISE IS A BITCH NOW BABY
YOU KNOW YOU CAN'T DO ME 'ROUND
IF YOUR HOUSE GETS IN MY WAY BABY
YOU KNOW I'LL BURN IT DOWN

YOU REMEMBER THE NIGHT THAT YOU LEFT ME
YOU PUT ME IN MY PLACE
GOT YOU IN A STRANGLEHOLD NOW BABY
YOU BETTER CROSS YOUR WAY
