Excitment From the Drive Home

We came up behind a white

Lamborghini.

This car was only doing fifty miles an hour. We went by him & I was really eying that car! About five minutes later we hear this engine revving noise. Here came that sweet ass car....racing a motorcycle. The bike went by us on the right, the Lamborghini went by us on the left.
He then slowed down again for a few miles. When he kicked it in gear the second time he was gone fast. *sigh* I never saw him again.

My Fear Of Driving

Driving for me is a love/hate relasionship. I couldn't wait to be old enough to drive. The first week I had my first car "A 1973 Pontiac Le Mans" I had two accidents & one speeding ticket. That car was fast!
I can't count how many times I've spun out or slid into the ditch due to snow & ice.

The older I got I realized that I was fine in the rural areas. Driving in urban settings I feel myself tense & I start to get "The Fear". Add snow to either & I get "The Fear".

This has held me back & I'm sure I've missed out on great happenings & places. When I cancel things or whatever to get out of driving I feel terrible guilty, but "The Fear" ALWAYS out weighs the guilt.
I have made some headway. I drove a couple hours on our trip to RI. It was sad though, it was a 16 hour trip, Both ways I may have only driven 4 hours total. It was a step in the face of "The Fear" tho
ugh.
Brian was my hero driving in that traffic hell "The East Coast".
I used to call in sick to work if I thought there was too much snow. I would get "The Fear" & pick up the phone. Now I am able to plow through the short distance into town. I push "The Fear" down & just get it done! Sometimes I've even had fun playing in the snow with my Tracker, as long as no cars are coming, LOL.
My Geo Tracker
is by far my most favorite car. It is the most sure footed car I've had. And yes even though it is a 4X4 I still get "The Fear"!

I wonder if I'm more scared of the loosing control aspect of crashing. Or the getting smashed aspect?
