The Weekend Was a BLur

Friday I had a friend over to watch a very funny movie "Hall Pass" . I loved it! I got to play a tiny bit of Rockband Which I always love!
I got to watch the lightning in the sky from my deck late at night. That was very calming.
Saturday was the fair & REO. Also late night boat ride. Those boat rides are the best, they seem to bring the stars closer.
Sunday was great until my friend and I went into the water at Silver Beach in St. Joesph, MI.
This is the news article.

ST. JOSEPH — A 49-year-old Chicago man is alive after he almost drowned while trying to save his daughter from drowning in Lake Michigan at Silver Beach on Sunday.
Fidel Chavez, of Chicago, was pulled out of the water after he and his 14-year-old daughter became overcome by high waves shortly before 1 p.m., according to a St. Joseph City Police Department press release. The girl told police that she was pulled out of the water by bystanders, who then helped to bring her father to shore.
After becoming unconscious while swimming, Chavez was pulled to shore with help from Nate Waller, of Portage. He was also helped by bystanders Chrystal Gerzeski, of Middlebury, Ind., and Roberta Miller, of Goshen, Ind.
Michael Gonzalez, of Delphi, Ind., performed CPR on Chavez until paramedics arrived and administered first aid. Chavez was taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph and was said to be alert and conscious, according to the release.
No lifeguards were on duty at the time, and the actions of the bystanders saved the lives of Chavez and his daughter, according to the release.
I have to say though that feeling that man's pulse come back into his body was a gift from god!

A Big Thank You
Weeks before I moved into my new house I contacted Comcast about getting cable at my new address. They said that the address was not serviceable and it would take ten days for a Rep. to check it out.
When the ten days was up I was already moved in and was excited and wanted my interwebs. I called Comcast only to be told that they had no record of my previous call and the my new address is still "UNSERVICEABLE".
I kept telling them that it is serviceable, that I could run that damn wire myself. Quote, "I'm sorry Ma'am, the computers are telling us that your address is UNSERVICEABLE!"
I begged each customer service agent that I talked to, "Please send someone out! I know this house is serviceable!"
So I waited anther ten days on a "serviceability request". After the wait I called in to find yet again they had no record of me making that request or the one before it.
I got frustrated enough to call Frontier (DSL). I got the same story from them.
I then went to Verizon to price a new 4g wireless thingymabob.
Still I wanted cable.
Whilst talking with neighbors ( I love them btw)! The say. "Oh, Comcast?! Yeah we have a guy!"
They gave me Chris's number and the rest is what they call history.
He says oh sure you are SERVICEABLE! HE set up an appointment for that week. The tech ran the cable from the pole & I was up and running within a hour!
Anyhow this guy Chris deserves a prize!!!!!!!
And Comcast you need to not rely so much on your computers!

Storm Damage

This freaked me out alot when I saw wood sticking out from under the roof.
I'm being told that it only needs to be screwed back into place & that the fascia board is not broken. I'm also being told that water can't drip into the meter.
I finally looked into the attic, with help from Robert James. Firstly the window is too small for even me to get in there let alone get stuff trough to store in there.
Secondly it's not insulated, but there are rolls of insulation just sitting around up there.
There is stuff laying around all over up there.
It is a huge area. Great for storage ginormous closet.
so I'm going to have to get some quotes & see how much it will run to have someone build me an inside attic access with a ladder. also how much to fix the floor up there to make sure it's walkable & loadable. Also to insulate it.
That will be a great space up there!!!!!!!
Nap time!!!!

Getting Closer

I have been weeding. this project is taking forever becuase it's not just weeding It's leveling out the dirt, taking out extra dirt. It's taking debris out of the rocks. I like it to be just rocks & weed barrier.
The sections I have done look amazing, but already some grass is growing back, Thank God for Round Up!
I mad e a trip to Goodwill and found a shelf extravaganza. I got six shelves none of them over 3 bucks.
I got all my pretties up on display.
I have a nice routine going which helps things seem more normal.
The divorce is final, it was final Monday. We got the paper Friday and I should be closing on the house hopefully next week.
I had some storm damage to the house last week. It freaked me out and stressed me out quite a bit. I will post some pictures of that on another post.
I got to have some fun. I went to Cedar Point! That has to be my most favoriteist place evah. As long as you pack food & drinks......Who wants to pay 5 dollars for a bottle of water?
Now I needs a nap!!!!!!
*Hugs*

Hugo - "Bread & Butter"
She tastes like midnight
She tastes like wine
She tastes like midnight
She tastes like wine
Gonna run my fingers
Oh, down your spine
Just like a bad dream
Stay on my mind…
Gonna spread you like butter
Give ya all my bread
Don't want no other girl in my bed
Gonna spread you like [Humming...]
Gonna spread you like [Humming...]
Oh all the street lights
May know your name
Out in the moonlight
Don't you feel no shame
Oh don't you worry
You little flame
Baby all the street lights
Will know your name
Gonna spread you like butter
Give ya all my bread
Don't want no other girl in my bed
Gonna spread you like butter
Give ya all my bread
Don't want no other girl in my bed
Gonna spread you like [Humming...]
Gonna spread you like [Humming...]
Cause I'm feeling lucky
And I'm feeling you
It keeps me hungry
It keeps me mean
I'm sharp like a blade
And cold like a knife
I'm sharp like a blade
And cold like a knife
I'm cold like a knife
I'm cold like a knife
Gonna spread you like butter
Give ya all my bread
Don't want no other girl in my bed
Gonna spread you like butter
Give ya all my bread
Don't want no other girl in my bed
Gonna spread you like [Humming...]
Gonna spread you like [Humming...]

Very Hot!

I went to watch the 911 beam go by today. It was escorted by a billion motorcycles. It was crazy hot.
I went to a graduation party and played volleyball. I'm not so good anymore LOL. I fell into a fence and scraped my arm. *shakes head* I'm such a clutz!
Tomorrow is the beach with Mom & Sissy!

Holiday

It is the weekend of Independence Day. I feel very independant, but know for sure that I could not do any of this without the love and support of my family and friends..
On Wednesday I found out that I once again got displaced at work. this time I'll be taking a 6 dollar cut in pay....this time is during buying a house and becoming independent. I'm scared. It is like the worst thing I could imagine happening is happening.
I think as long as I have the love around me I'll be ok.
Yesterday I painted door trim.
Today I replaced the door seals & cleaned my car. I started to weed the landscaping. I was able to burn all of the scrap wood I had. It was a very nice fire.
For some reason I did lost the before and after moving in pictures. so I've included some moved in ones.
I actually got to sit back & relax Tonight I played some rockband with my fried Kelley
