It is not hard, it does not take much brain power. Doing the same movements for eight hours is tiring. (Put the part in' make the machine go, take the part out.)
Then I get to the gym to find out it is lunges night! My legs feel like noodles & will be hella sore for the next two days.
Watching the news while I did cardio I'm thinking WTF? happened. The stock market, the bank Wachovia. (Our work has our 401 K's through.) Should I move our money to bonds? Hell I don't even know if I have any money left:P

Farewell
My co-workers had a carry-in lunch for Lee & I yesterday. It was very nice of them. I had a vacation day so I took Zoie with me went I went in for lunch.
Zoie had a blast sniffing all the people.
They had a lot of food for such few people. It was all good stuff.
Thanks guys, See you around.
(I think they are going to miss me(Me meaning the stuff I did) badly the first month or so, They will have some major readjustment.)
I gave Zoie a hair cut last night. Now I love how the groomer does her, but I thought I'd like to save some money. Zoie was an angel & was still for the whole ordeal. I am not the swiftest. PETA officials say a move to breast milk would lessen the suffering of dairy cows and their calves on factory farms and benefit human health.
"The fact that human adults consume huge quantities of dairy products made from milk that was meant for a baby cow just doesn't make sense," PETA spokeswoman Tracy Reiman said.
"Everyone knows that the breast is best, so, Ben & Jerry's could do consumers and cows a big favour by making the switch to breast milk."

Still Working.
I got lucky, luckier than most. I got my first pick of jobs.
I will start as a machine operator in our tubing Dept. It is our lowest labor grade (I'll be taking a healthy pay cut).
It is the best I could do out of the worst situation ever. I'm happy with it.
I'm not sure yet where I'll go from here. This is like starting all over again.
I made an analogy once that our Dept. was like The dog shit on your shoe that no matter how much you scrape, it never comes off.
Now My analogy is that our Dept. is like road kill that the birds keep taking a piece of meat at a time until there is nothing left but bone.

Today Was The Worst Day
My job was eliminated today. I'm very sad but I have been keeping it together so far. I asked for a half a days vacation to clear my head & was turned down becuase I had not given 24 hours notice.
I stuck it out all day. I do have a chance to get a job out on the floor. There are only three first shift openings. I may end up on another shift. I hope that my rate & my almost twenty years gives me an edge over the other people.
I know I'm not alone in this. I hate watching the news. They seem to be all gloom.
I want hope, I want hope that this is a new beginning. I want to hope that the universe has something else in store for me, something good.
If I end up unemployed, I may entertain going to school. *shrug*
Wish me luck & I'll keep you informed.

Fireworks
We went to the Fall Festival in town last night.We had some delicious beef brisket for dinner.
We saw many people we knew. I absolutely love watching crowds of milling people.
We had to look at the tractor display, Hubby would be sad if he could not stop to look at tractors.We then headed up the hill to one of our biggest tourist attractions (The Essenhaus). This is where the fireworks were held. Our town has not had a fireworks display in a very long time. They used to shoot them off from the hill above the apartments we lived in. But they developed that area. I'd guess it's been 12 years since I've seen fireworks in this town.
OMG! I think they were hoarding fireworks all those years. It was the longest show I've ever attended. I saw no less than three grand finales

The Discarded
The discarded like so many heaps of rubbish.
They sit in categories of uselessness.
Once close to heart now disregarded or downgraded in use.
The piles are many. Too needy, Too demanding, Too annoying.
Not enough energy, Not enough coolness, Not enough realness.
Adding to the piles bring memories of the fun once shared.
The memories bring laughter or regret and the inevitable recount of the piles of refuse.
These are unusable forever, damned. Those could have a few uses still,
A couple may even be redeemed; their sentence to the land fill reprieved.
What mechanism triggers the mind to throw away this toy different only in brand?
Y is loving & sweet where the discarded brand X was clingy & demanding.
Stay the discarded piles!
Remember the reasons the heart grew close before throwing away.

A Rant About Rust!
Our water softener it seems, has decided to stop taking the rust from the water. (Not that it ever removed all of it anyways!)
It is so bad this time that I'm having a hard time getting
the stain out of the shower floor.Now can you imagine how much of that color my hair has picked up? All that money for wonderful blonde highlights that are turned dirty dishwater orange
I may try the packets of lemonade home remedy that I googled. I wonder if screaming"Hey Culligan Man" would work? I've complained to the man Dept. in this household to no avail.

Hubby grew some stubby, pokery stuff on his face over vacation. He has since shaved it off.
I think he was quite proud of it as he had me take some pictures.
He also finished his garden tier project. We did run out of the "recycled car" landscape timbers.
