Another Rock Band Weekend.

Saturday night was hosted by "Kya The Rift Master".
As we sipped Old Boys Port (That stuff is like candy btw!) (I recommend that everyone just try this stuff).

We unlocked a couple

What I think of the Wii.

I initially liked the Wii. It's active games are a blast. The golf actually made me wish to try real life golf. (For real!)
On deeper inspection of the Wii it has faults.......the graphics....not so good. As far as I can tell there is no very cool on-line Marketplace. Add-ons to games can't be downloaded. Extra songs for Rock Band are bought on a disk.
The game Rock Band for Wii is a let down compared to the X-box edition. The achievements are not quite the same & You don't get money or the ability to go to the store & dress up your Toon.
I would get a Wii in addition to my X-box.
Our Rock Band Band toured tonight at Bri's house. I sang Black Sabbath's Paranoid & 100% ed it!!!!!! Woot! Brian (Ma Yuan) was on guitar & Mike (Ha-Sith) was on drums.

Ticks!

I Went for a walk/run with Zoie tonight.
I pulled eight YES EIGHT ticks off her. It was so creepy that I washed her & every blanket she comes in contact with. *shiver*
Needless to say I put her tick collar back on.

No Wonder I hate ticks...they are an Arachnid, as in Spiderish. EWWWWW!!!!

I think she got them in the grassy field we cut across.

I have just finished the second season of Lost. I can not say enough about this show. It sinks it's teeth into you, hooks you.
It always keeps you guessing & makes you say, "I did not see that coming!"


I love the Kate character played by Nicole Evangeline Lilly.










I also like Jin. Daniel Dae Kim. His Character turned from hated to likable.

A Weekend with the old people.

We've had an Awesomerific weekend with the In-laws! On Thursday night on our way to dinner we stumbled across an old car show.
(For desert we had Heavenly Delight...It was Raspberry jam, Angel food cake & whipped cream.)

Then we walked in the park & found one of the many "Flower Quilts" strewn across the County. (We found many others as the weekend went on.)


























We went to the farmers market. Oh Yeah we got some Morrell mushrooms. We had Pulled Pork, Morrells, & Pierogis for dinner.







We went fishing & caught a bunch.



We topped it all of with a bonfire & Smores.

Washing Machine.

As you know I had an appliance tech come out here & look at my washing machine, as it was not spinning all of the water out of the tub.
The Tech. charged me $65.00 to say it would cost more to fix the "Bearings" than to buy a new unit.

I was doing a load of clothes with this broken machine. I was just going to ring them by hand. The load was dry enough that I did not have to ring them. I looked at the water filling the machine for the second load & saw it was coming out at a funny angle. At this point my Mother In-Law pulls a sock out from between the tub & wall of the machine. This sock looked as though it had been in the machine for years!
The washer seems to be running fine now.
I want my $65.00 back from the lazy Tech. guy who just did not want to mess with my machine!!!!!!!!!!

Kayaking

Robert finally got a kayak. We got a used one for a great deal.
Today we took a paddle together. His boat is not as streamlined as mine & it makes him have to work harder. He can't keep up with me
Zoie decided that she wanted to surf, so she walked all the way out on the nose of my boat. She did fine keeping her balance until Robert ran into us with his boat. Then off Zoie went (She wears a doggie life jacket for just this reason). She kept going back & forth between the Kayaks.

My knees sometimes get stiff from being in the Kayak for long periods so I bent them up & out of the hatch. I do not have as much control or balance in this position, Zoie picked this moment to start wiggling. We came as close as I've ever come to flipping. That was scary.
The worst thing about flipping is swimming the boat back to a shallow enough spot to get back in.
Good Kayakers can get back in their boats anywhere.

I had my first swim of the year & we had a doosey of a storm. There is a humming bird nest in the neighbors tree.

Rock Band

Brian & I shredded some rifts last night. Our Band still needs a drummer & a singer.

We were able to get into the Hall of Fame last night. There were fireworks & everything!

Driving Horses to work.

I live in an area with a high population of Amish. I don't know much about Amish culture, I've picked up some things from living in this area. I've watched "The Devil's Playground". That movie was filmed in this area.

The other day I was taken back when I noticed a horse tied up outside the factory I work at. An Amish lady drove her buggy into work. She parks the buggy in the parking lot & ties the horse up in the grassy area.
I wonder if driving a horse is cheaper than driving a car...with gas prices & all? DUH!

Oh the horse was hella cute too.

Doctors.

I had to go for my yearly physical yesterday. I decided to get my Thyroid checked (it has been a while), since they could draw the blood there.
I'm used to getting my blood drawn by people who do nothing but draw blood all day.
This nurse had no clueThe picture shows her first attempt to take me blood....Bawhahahahahah! She ended up getting it with minimal bruising on the other arm.
Holy Crap my arm hurts!
