Yet another book devoured

This is book number two in a series of three. I have to wait for book three. It is not published yet. I hate it when they leave you hanging like this.
The Elfstones are in play once again. This series tie in with the starter Shannara books. There is never a bad Shannara book!

Robert has been doing lots.....

This weekend he worked on the floors for the attics. I thought it was cute him hanging out of the rafters!

Zoie's daddy fetish....

Zoie enjoys chewing on her daddy. Check out how much she likes this & why she is called Chompers!

Day 8 of building a room.

I have actual closed in walls. I'm so happy. I do have window holes still. (Zoie tried to jump out one already) Tomorrow I will have windows & doors in. I got to meet Jeff again & talk about the project & answer questions & get a feel for how it is going. He made a comment about how He thought we should have gotten the foundation torn out & repoored not fixed. (Mother? No I told you so's, OK?)
The walls being up really makes it darker in my living room. The veiw is slightly diminished, but we knew this would be the case. I think It is going to look awesome! More pictures.

Much more done on the house!

All the joists or rafters (whatever they are called) are all up now.

I forgot to post this....

I took some video of Zoie at school. Who do you think is learning the best RJ or Zoie?

Zoie & school

She was a little more of a booger today. She did some barking & growling. But she is not doing bad. She does not like the lay down thing. Today we learned laydown, sit/stay.
Pictures!

News on the house...

Old rafters are down. New rafters are starting to go up. I have new chopsticks up lol. Pictures!

The new tv season is underway!

I just realized that I do watch alot of shows.

Heroes is just plain awesome. I wish I had powers.
I just love Barney from How I met your Mother. He is the worlds best wingman!

Yes, Sadly I watch this painful popularity contest.
I love CSI. It would be a cool job. Except for the dead bodies.

NCIS is almost as cool as CSI. Mark harmon is hot as always:) Abby is the coolest chick ever. Officer David flippin hot!

Ghost Whisperer, Umm I'm at a loss for words actually.
I really want to know how this one ends...& what set the bombs off in the first place.

Today I heard this song.....

I thought to myself, Self this is you & if it is not it should be!

I don't need no fortune
I don't need no fame
That's all just an illusion
To me it don't mean a thing

You can try and deceive me
But I see right through your skin
And what you're trying to tell me
Is something I don't beleive in

Don't tell me how to live my life
Don't tell me how to pray
Don't tell me how to sing my song
Don't tell me what to say

Cuz I believe that miracles
happen every day
I don't care what you say,
I'm gonna do it my way

You say you have all the answers
And I should do it your way
How many times do I have to tell you
I ain't no puppet on a string
Listen to me...

Don't tell me how to live my life
Don't tell me how to pray
Don't tell me how to sing my song
Don't tell me what to say
Cuz I believe that miracles
happen every day
I don't care what you say,
I'm gonna do it my way
I'm gonna do it my way
What'd you say

My Husband left this out for me this morning. I'm like hum wonder what is in the envelope? Well I think that Stan thought I might need a towel. LOL!
This towelie might catch on fire if he got to close to a smoke:P
VERY FUNNY STAN!
Nice art work btw, also.

I have framed walls!

This is going to be very nice to have my room back. I'm getting excited!
More shots...

Was I a Problem child?

I've been told so... But not as bad as this song says!
I'm a problem child
I'm a problem child, yes I am
I'm a problem child
And I'm wild

Make my stand
No man's land

Another book finished

This book made me cry plenty. It was very hard to handle in the beginning. I'm glad I stuck with it. The deep beauty & complexity & love left me warm. It left me more stubborn in my mind set of Dare to Dream!
It looks as if they are going to make it a movie!
P.S. Thank You Kelley for sending it with me!

I met the man doing our construction today!

His name is Jeff. He is very cute:) I hope to get a picture of him for you guys.
I have one framed wall today. I have pictures of said wall but I've not put them on the pc yet.
We decided to have the structural stuff fixed. The visual stuff we we have to do piece meal.
Stay tuned until tomorrow as the construction continues!

What I'm listening to.....

The one that got away by Pink

You'll always be mine
In the back of my mind
Oh we had a night
Just a little wine

There's always one that gets away
The one that sneaks up on you that slips away

In a closed off corner of my heart yes
I'll always see your face
The one that got away
One that got away...

I like Pink's voice. It has a what am I looking for? Lustiness? raspy? I don't know but I like it!

After two days of construction.........

You would think more would be done. I'm disappointed! I keep getting calls about things that need to be fixed that were not on the quote. We can now add to the list siding all the way down to cover the ugly steel. The tearing out of the ceiling & existing siding. Today we added to the list the joists are sagging & should be fixed. I'm out of money. Does the contractor realize that there is a limit to the money tree? We will now have to start picking between the things we want done & the things we need done. Yes things like this build character. *Whatever* Some pictures
This whole thing has been very stressful & not getting any easier. I will be going down in hours at work in October. I am thankful very thankful I still have a job!

Does kayaking count as being a Pirate?

I skipped the gym today. Instead, seeing as it was so warm & awesome outside, I took Zoie for a kayak ride around the lake. It was a very good paddle. In celebration of International talk like a Pirate day, I sang it's a pirates life for me whilst paddling:) Then I took a swim. *brrrr* It woke me up though. We won't get many more days like this.

Zoie's first day of school

I'm a rotten mommy! I forgot to take the camera. (I will take it next week I swear). I made Robert do all the work because he & Zoie truly need to work out their differences. She did better than I gave her credit for. I will be practicing with her everyday. They say not to work them more than ten minutes at a time & to make it fun. Today we did Heal, Sit, turn left, turn right, & fast & slow. I wish I'd gotten those pictures there is one German Shepard there that could eat me in one bite!

Author Robert Jordan Dies

Look here for the news story. This is heartbreaking to many people! He was not finished! He still had work do to.
KNIFE OF DREAMS will be the second to last book in the highly acclaimed The Wheel of Time™ series, the last three books of which have all been #1 New York Times bestsellers.

I truly enjoyed each & every Wheel of Time book. Robert Jordan will be missed!

Beauty of woman!

I found this picture using the new feature Blogger play. Watching the pictures go by is hypnotic. this one captured my heart. On Blogger play if you click on the picture it takes you to that persons Blog. This person also had a very sad & beautiful song playing. (I wish there was a better way to link a song to a post, so the song plays with just that post) Because this song just plain goes with this picture!

Earbuds!

Do earbuds actually work for anyone? Can anyone really keep them in their ears? I have this incredibly small head, apparently so are my ears. No matter what, I can barely get these thing to even sit in my ear let alone stay there. Running, chewing, moving, or sitting still they just plain fall out of my ears. I look damn funny with my fingers in my ears constantly trying to hold them in or readjust them.
Actually earphones are not much different as the bands never go small enough to fit my very tiny head.
It would be nice if they made extra small things for little headed people! LOL!

Gangster Zoie

She loves her walk & insists on taking them NOW!

Memory Lane!

I heard this song on the way home today. It brought back the good old days. Working the summers detasseling corn. Walking down the rows of corn with my Walkman at full volume. (Yes I said Sony Walkman) I could never hear what was going on around me. My boss used to sneak up on me:) He was so cute! My first love, crush, obsession even. OMG to be that young & carefree again!
On a side note. I got to see Phil Collins when I was older. That was the best show I have been to. Phil is very very funny on stage.

I know she says she wants me
I hear it every day
And I know she know it keeps me
Well there aint no other way
But shes got a heart must be made of stone
Cos when I tell her that shell miss me when Im gone
She says
Who said I would
She knows it aint easy for a simple boy like me
She fills me full of loving
Oh then she sets me free
But shes got a heart must be made of stone
Cos when I tell her that shell miss me when Im gone
She says
Who said I would, tell me, who said I would
Who said I would, who said I would
Im not the only one but I do fine
I suit her purpose and Im just her kind
I dont own her and I never could
Dont think I do, dont think I should
Tell me
Who said I would, who said I would
But shes got a heart must be made of stone
And when I tell her that shell miss me when Im gone
Youre not the only one but you do fine
You suit my purpose and youre just my kind
I dont own me and you never could
Dont think you do, dont think you should
Who said I would (who said I would)
Now she knows when she calls me
Ill come running every time
And she knows she gets me hot
But she dont know its her body never mine
And shes got a heart must be made of stone
Cos when I tell her that shell miss me when Im gone
She says
Who said I would, tell me, who said I would
Who said I would, who said I would

The bad economy has come to our front door....

The time has come for what is becoming a yearly cut back at our place of work. It always comes in time for the 4th quarter & (Christmas).
Walmart has been slowing down in their gang buster take over of the world. If people don't shop retailers don't buy fixtures, then we get layoffs. & I hadn't thought of this until today but I'm all for the environment & doing what we can to help preserve it & save it. Now some retailers are recycling, reusing their fixtures. That would be good for the environment. (I'm sure they do it to save a buck rather:P) This is bad news for us who make new fixtures:(
Weather this cut back touches me personally or not, it still touches everyone in a way. It is sad & scary.
Ok everyone shop, shop , shop:)

Never Forget

Every 9/11 anniversary the media does everything they can to make us cry. Do they still bombard us with too much? I think maybe. Remembering is essential. The Stories must told. But even the heroic tales of the good come out of the rubble makes me cry.
What I take with me from that day forward is to always try to let the ones you love know you love them. You can never say I love you too much! Even if your mad as hell, if you say nothing else say I love you before you part.
I love you!

9 TERMS WOMEN USE

This is sooo true. I personally use "Whatever" as often as possible!

1. Fine: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

2. Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour.

Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

3. Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes.

Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.

4. Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!

5. Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men.

A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing

here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to #3 for the meaning of nothing.)

6. That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man.

That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

7. Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome.

8. Whatever: Is a women's way of saying F@!K YOU!

9. Don't worry about it, I got it: Another dangerous statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking "What's wrong?"

For the woman's response refer to #3.

Another book done!

I just finished Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. That is book 3 out of 7 I think. (The wheel of Time series was much longer:)) I do wish that I had read this series before I viewed the movies. Books are always better! I think the books have allowed me to get into Harry's head more.
